"Mostly human," A voice said, followed by a giggle. In the density of the forest, it was almost impossible to see where the voice was coming from. The voice seemed to be male, though the giggle was obviously feminine.
"Some of us aren't even.... Human. Mortals." The voice drifted again, oddly soothing. It carried out a tone that made almost everyone calm and relaxed. A few leaves rustled from the east, and a thud was heard.
Finally, the man decided to show himself. He wore mostly black and red, but a small rapier hung at his side. It shone nicely. The boy had taken a lot of care to it.
It was not the clothing or the rapier that was surprising. Instead, it was the actual man. He looked around his twenties. Twenty-one, actually. However, it was the long, alabaster hair that brought more attention. His eyes were also hidden by a blindfold. Curly horns poked through his tied back hair, and his pointy ears gave the impression he was elven. He grinned.
"Now then," He purred, turning his head towards Artemis. "Let us not be too mean, darling?" He said with another giggle. What a strange person.

(ok i do not mean to be rude but can nobody else join casue then it might get confusing)
Artemis let out a snarl of fury, "Do not call me darling" she growled her emerald eyes turing into cat like slits. She backed up slightly and swiftly pulled her bow from her shoulder, grabbed and arrow and aimed it at him. She did not trust him, what was wrong with him?She glanced at Felix waiting for his reaction.

He was very taken aback by the new commer, and for several resons. The first was that he was male (or at least seemed to be...) when Ryuu, the Queen of this world had said that she knew of no other males. The secound wasd the fact that he looked way older then them. He had thought only youngish teenagers could find their way to this wolrd. Apparetnly it was something to do with the changes in their bodies alowing the portals that brought them here to open. The last was becouse of how weird he looked and sounded. He mighthave been anoyed with these girls a few minutes ago but untill he found out more about this male, he couldent help feeling more on their side then before.
(There, ive given away soem never before told fatcs about the world of Suteki, namely how people get here. Ive been meaning to set up a plot thread in the about this site to tell people about it.... I really should do it soon...)

Sina tensed up as the newcomer made himself shown as well, but made sure not to show her unease.
"And then there are those of us who don't choose to be 'mostly human...' there are those who've come here by mistake." Sina realized that this wasn't her speaking, but Nergur speaking through her. Unlike the human girl, he was more wary of the others. Suddenly, Sina was beggining to feel much younger among these three.
"I mean, I'm proud to be who I am, just not entirely comfortable with it..." She crrected Nergur's outburst. "So... who are you, then?" |

"Woah, little hunter. Watch those arrows." He said, raising his eyebrows. A small spark of flames appeared on his fingertips. "I must say, you should at least give a boy a chance before you try attacking him." Oddly amused by the violent movement from the girl, he leaned on the tree. The rapier glinted in the sun. "I may have a blindfold on permanently, but I can still fight. And you don't wanna fight me." He added before Sina blurted out.
He turned his head, but he seemed to stare at the trees. "Who am I? I don't know. Who am I?" He shot back, grinning still.

Felix tilted his head to one side, looking for all the world as though he was a bird of pray watching to see if this stranger would be his next kill. He let out a quite "Kiiaaa..." As though he was murmering somethiong to himself. Why did this stranger were a blind fold, and how did he seem to know so much about his surroundings when he couldent even see? For someone though relied so much on his increadibly inhanced vision, he coudlebnt imagine what it woudl eb like.

Artemis felt a torrent of loathing towards him, she wanted to fire her arrows at him, she wanted to pull her knives from her quiver, knives the length of her arm and deadly sharp. SHe did not care what he thought about fighting them, she just wanted him dead, or not intruding into her life. She growled even more darkly at his words "Like you could beat us, i am as fast and as nimbles as a deer, i am as strong as a tiger. Felix has the power of the fire, yet can leap to the skies. This girl, i sense something of the wolf about her."

Sina blinked at Artemis's guess. She was incredibly close, almost as if she could read the girl's mind. It made Sina feel just a bit dissapointed- she thought she'd hidden it pretty well. But then again, there might be no hiding things from the spotty hunter.
tilting her head, she stared at Artemis, Felix, then thedemon curiously. Nergur sensed tension in the air, though she ignored him- somehow, she felt safe standing behind the two other hybrids, even though she'd knon them little more then five minutes. Still, it seemed wrong to attack the other, even if he was scary looking, and possibly wouldn't even hesitate to harm any of them. Sina's e. yes flickered to his deadly weapon, a reaction from both her and Nergur.
"I don't... see any reason to attack..." she mumbled shyly, just loud enough for the others to comprehend clearly. Even the lycon inside her head jumped in surprise. "I mean, he hasn't done anything yet, has he?" 'Yet' being the keyword. Sina surpressed another shiver, thinking again of the rapier at his side. |

"You think that I can't control fire either? I cannot fly, that's true, but I can make things happen in your mind... That you won't even think I could do." Emyt growled softly, smiling. He touched the hilt of his silver rapier, humming a tune.
"So, little Artemis... Why are you so.. Sexist? I saw how you greeted the other guy here. Females are not superior over males, my friend. At least, no in this society." His eyebrow kangarooed upwards. As random as Emyt was right now, he did have a point. No need to be all spazzy at guys.
A fluent motion was given, and the man jumped easily into a tree and perched there, almost like a bird. The ends of the bandana flickered and blew as he thudded gently on a strong branch. He kept his head aimed down at Artemis, though he often kangarooed his head towards the other male.

Felix's features seemed to be getting more and more bird like, his eyes changing shape and a feather pattern started to form all over his body, making him look like he had some sort of tattoo. He knew that what ever power over fire the starnger had, his would be supirior for he was the phoenix, the physical enbodyment of fire. but the idea of him being able to do things to their minds worreid him. He did have a point about Artemous and her sexism and stuff.

"I am not sexist, i have had worse experiences with men, i do not think females are superior, i just think most men are annoying. Clearly i have found an exception, i am happy to admit that" she said coolly flicking her tail to Felix "Mabye you can crawl inside my mind, but nothing can go worse inside my mind, look inside and you will not like what you find."She glared at him before leaping up next to him for a moment adn staring him in the eyes letting her pain flood into his, her incredible pain.

So he wasnt so bad afterall then? That made him smile slightly. Or at least he tried to smile, his lips had gone hard and turned slightly yellow. Untill then he hadent even noticed that he had been slowly tranforming as his unese grew. He wasnt sure if he should turn back to the way he was or go completly phoenix. He decided to stay as he was and she what the strangers reply would be to Artemis.

Every muscle tensed, Sina watched in horror as Artemis lunged at the stranger. She wasn't quite worried that he would be hurt, but rather, what he'd do when provoked...
Sina... do something...! Nergur hissed, but she didn't move.
What she was wondering was if this man was even somebody to fear or not- he seemed... different, and looked almost threatening. But he'd not done anything to harm them, and if he were some savage beast, he would have done so already. Unless he was playing with their minds, like he said he had the ability to do- which worried her, like Artemis. |

Emyt wasn't surprised by anything that happened. He tossed his head; the blindfold was on the verge of falling off. Let it fall. Let them see what had happened to him. Whatever. White haired man shook his head.
"Tsk tsk. Don't move so near to me; I can read your mind from where you were." He said coolly, sidestepping with ease, under the cover of a shady tree.
Quickly, he raised his hands and readjusted the blindfold. His hands touched gently at the rapier hilt as they fell back. He turned his head towards Sina.
"Who's voice is that in your head, girl?" He asked suddenly; Artemis forgotten.

Artemis twisted her head with him "I said i smelt wolf" she sprinted across the clearing and pushed her gently against a tree. Artemis took in a deep breath "Who are you?" she said recoiling from the smell, "You, you smell like your are wolf but i can smell you are a human" she touched her forehead and shook away thoughts, before pushing her against the tree again and smelling her "Who are you? Why do you smell of wolf, btu it is not wolf it is older than that" she stepped back her ocelot side wanting ot retreat from the bigger creature.
