Blossom fell from the trees like pink droplets of water, she lay there, the sun shone into the clearing bathing it in golden light. She sat up crosing her legs and leaning towards a closed flower by her foot. It was a pearly silver in colour and as she touched the flower it glowed for a moment for unfurling its petals and reavling a beautiful gold and sivler flower. She smiled to herself and stood up, a twig snaped somewhere nearby and she bunched up her muscles and sprang to grab a nearby brach. She pulled herslef up onto the branch and peering down through the soft green leaves to see who it was.

Phoneix stood there, staring at the place he was sure there had just been a flash of movement. His brain eventually cought up with his eyes and he glanced upwards. There amoung the leaves was a face looking back at him. He blinked a couple of times, just staring at her staring back.

A male, Artemis scowled men played no part in her life, she only hunted with females. He stared straight at her and she stared back, she knew hiding was useless so she slid down the tree trunk to face him. She stood facing him, her dark red hair hung in a ponytail showing her ocelot ears claerly and her tail hung behind her, she made no attempt to hide her other half. "Who are you man"she asked her voice not friendly, men did not even see her hunt, it was an age old rule. She prayed it would not come to a fight. Her wide green eyes looked him over trying to understand who he was. Quickly hse walked to the edge of the clearing picking up her silver bow and quiver filled with arrows and putting it over her shoulders.

He continued to stare at her with his odd golden yellow eyes. What did this girl think she was? He dident like just being called 'man' it sounded silly. His eyes followed her as she went to pick up her bow. For a secound he thought she was going to try and shoot him but then she put it on her shoulder.

She sighed, mabye he was just a bit stupid or mabye his brain did not register it, she had always thought most men were not as clever as women. "Who are you?" she asked again stepping closer and smellin his scent. He seemed to smell of fire, she did not like it, it made her think of forests on fire.

He leaned back from her wearily as she approched. She wanted to know who he was, ay? Well he guessed he could give her that much. "Felix Phoenix." He told her, spreading the wings that had before been consealed behind his back as an explenation for his secound name. They were large, covered in feathers of gold, bronze, orange, yellow, red, brown and a little black.

Artemis wasn't the only one who smelled the ashy scent that wafted off of Felix. Not far off, somebody else picked up the stench. And they liked it no more then she did, but for different reasons.
Sina glowered up at the perfectly blue, cloudless sky. And the sun beat down relentlessly on her back- it was pleasently warm today. But for the young girl, the warmth was unbearable. Somehow, on her travels, she'd wandered south, and she wasn't used to these tempuratures.
Plucking a nearby flower with her thin fingers, she began to spin it between her fingertips, it's crimson petls a blur. Wasn't it springtime? Then why on earth did it have to be so hot- it was horrific! Summer tempurature! Apparently, one nice, little spring shower was too much to ask for. She droped the flower on the ground, stomping it flat as she walked over it. Nothing was going her way today.
"You're awfully quiet," She suddenly said aloud. It was much easier to speak to her inner companion when nobody else was around. She had a habit of staring off into space when talking to the Lycon through her mind, and for the people around her, it was kind of awkward. Out here, there were no people around to shoot her strange looks. That's what she thought, anyway.
Well, I figured that since you're so irritable, I had better not worsen your mood. [/color] Came the mumbled reply. Apparently Nergur was enjoying this as much as she was. And it was about then that they caught a whiff of that singed smell, sort of smokey. Well, Nergur did. That was the strange thing about having a canine lurking around in your head- they were so used to having superior senses, Nergur often caught a smell, or a sound, far before Sina could. When the slightest hint of smoke wafted into the girl's nose, Nergur set off an alarm. Do you smell that?![/color] (Though he knew she didn't,) I think something's burning![/color] Sina was about to reply, pointing out she could hardly smell anything at all in this humidity, when Nergur sent her mind a quick message, showing her what she was smelling. Sina litterally stopped in her tracks, then wrinkled her nose. "Ewww... okay, let's check it out. Lead the way."So she began to trot through the forest, Nergur saying when the scent was stronger or weaker to lead them to the source. It wasn't long before they found it, standing in the middle of a cluster of old, blossoming trees, talking to a strange hybrid girl. The boy, who the scent was coming from, was obviously some sort of hybrid too. It was a hard fact to miss, with those dazzling wings plastered to his back. Recoiling from the strong stench, both Sina and Nergur were carefull not to be seen or heard. If this was a private conversation, it may mean trouble for them.[/size][/center] |

(Hes not that smelly! XD)
Felix swung round and cought sight of another girl coming tewords them. He hoped she wasnt going to be as anti male as this other one was. Then he suddenly smelt something. Oh no. His tail had made a nearby plant catch on fire. Again. He still wasnt used to his new found power and sparks often flew off his wings and tail feathers without him meaning them to. His tail was long and in the same colours as his wings. There were two main feathers one top, a little way appart that were longer then the others and looked like a fiery version of a peakangarooes. He quickly stamped on the plant with a clawed foot, putting the fire out.

Artemis took a step back from his wings then spun to face the other person, seeing it was a girl she relaxed. She growled at Felix as he stamped on the plant, "Just stay away from the plants, i am Artemis" she sighed, there was no way fo getting the flower back now. This male appeared to be no threat so she sprinted to a low hanging branch and sat on it, anyway she had lightening reactions. She looked him up and down, his tail was as long as hers and he had wings, ugh he had wings and was on fire, her day was getting better and better. "I am half ocelot you are somesort of fire demon coming here destoying the plants" she said annoyed when hse said ocelot she flicked her tail and twitched her ears and sgowed him her sharp claws and teeth.
(she knows he is a phoenix but considers him a fire demon sent to annoy her)

He frowned at her. What was it? National hate guys day? He watched as she wmung up into a tree, showing off. So what? He could fly way above that! "Im not a fire domen, im a Phoenix, Furball." He growled back at her. He was getting fedup with their attatude tewards him. Were was Ryuu when he needed her? At least she was a girl who dident look at him with distane.

Sina stared at them both. Despite her caution, she'd been seen anyway. And, apparently, they were a pheonix and... what was an ocelot? She glanced at Artemis's spotty tail and ears, relieved. So, she was a kind of cat. Sina had nothing to worry about, then. Suddenly proud of Nergur's species, and much more daring, she crawled out of the bushes and into the open.
But, she could tell there was tension here. Some sort of battle of the genders, but in her oppinion, it was silly. Heck, she had a male living inside her head. But the ocelot woman obviously had somethign against men, so she decided to keep Nergur a secret now. Nergur agreed- he didn't want to get caught up in this.
Being shy, she couldn't think of anything to say. The situation was rather awkward, and she stood there stupidly and silently, before finally piping up.
"A... pheonix? I didn't even know those were real..." Was all she could think of, to distract the two older ones from their bickering. |

Artemis let out a snarl at his words, "Do not test me my aim is deadly and do not underestmiate me beacause of my size" she stalked up to him and said "i do not hate you, i just do not like males, they are generally stupid or addictived to beautiful girls." she heard the younger girls words anf said "Unfortauntatly in thsi case they do, you fly, yet you are a creature of fire" she pondered over this.

What? Another girl? Three girls and no other guys around would be something he cosidered a bad thing. But these lot? Maybe this new arrival wasnt as man hating though... He cats her a charming smile and spread his wings a little more, being careful not to set fire to anything else. "In this world it seems just about anything you can imagibe is real."
But then he heard the other girls words, the first one that he had bumped into and the smile turned to an angry frown. "Im not planning to underestimate you at all. And size in this place seems to have very little to do with power. And obviosly you have not met many males, we are no more or less stupid then you are. And all that about being addicted to beautiful girls? Well being interested in girls is only natural, its nature you know. But im not interested in any girl but Ryuu, shes my souls mate. And.." His eyes seemed to flash a much more yellow before and he was really wound up by now. "...anyway. Whats any of that 'beautiful girl' stuff actually got to do with you?"

"Nothing" she replyed she was not vain "I just find it annoying, i am glad you have a sould mate, it means you will not betray her, you seem different to most males, more interesting. I am sorry for being so rude but I do not like males in general, both sides of me are not interested in them" she sighed and stepped away trying to make sure she came no where near to his wings. SHe turned to face the other girl and smiled "Sorry about our fight, i am unused to male company"

His head was realing. One minute she seemed to hate him and just when he had got himself all wound up she decided to apolagies? Were all girls like this? Many he had known had been very good grudge holders, so prehaps not. "Maybe..." He said, in amuch more clam and friendly way then before. "...you just need to get to know more guys. Yer, some are idiots but then again its the same with girls as well. We are all human." He glanced round at his wings, shuck them gently and grined "Well mostly human, should I say.."
