Until one of us is close to death. Emyt liked that. He grinned. "Until one of us is close to death. Probably you!" He said, slashing into the air, towards Kaden's chest after he had dodged. Nimble on his feet, Emyt would wait to see if the blow struck. If not, the white haired boy would spread his legs out for more balance; he had almost been thrown to the side from Kaden's first attack.

Kaden yelped. He didn't like that suggestion at all. Until close to death... This was a fight after all and not just sparring. His eyes grew serious. The black diamond blade sliced through the air with small 'whoosh' sounds as the only noise. He parried the strike to the side and went in on an angle. Kaden dropped his weight down and went for a slash straight inward. If it hit, it'd be a stomach shot. Still he felt uncomfortably close and his shoulder was exposed. This was bad.

The white haired man anticipated the attack. Turning the ruby sword to block the attack to the side, Emyt twisted his whole body to try and avoid the stomach shot. The sword pierced part of his side. Gasping in pain, the red eyes of the seventeen year old widened. Blood spilled out of his side, but Emyt was not about to give in. He went straight into the offensive. Raising his blood-red blade, he aimed at Kaden's shoulder.
Don't kill him, Emyt! The dragon screamed. Emyt paid no heed. The shoulder attack was bound to hit. If it did, Emyt would-- at the last moment-- curve the blade to try and hit at his neck as well as his shoulder. If not, well... He was screwed.

Kaden screamed as the blade hit his shoulder. He fell back and put the hand on his sword over the wound. The blade was still coming even after that though and his eyes grew wide with fear. "Emyt!" he cried, hoping to shake some sense into the older boy. A growl came out of his throat C'zrin's influence growing stronger. She forced a connection again so she could speak to the other dragon. This is enough!

Emyt's red eyes narrowed, looking furious. The ruby blade continued to force its way towards Kaden. He had no idea what he was doing, he was so... Crazed at the moment.
The red dragon felt the connection force in his heart, and he too, screamed.
Emyt! Stop! YOU'RE GOING TO KILL HIM!! There was no response from the teenager.
Suddenly, Emyt felt his whole chest on fire. Dropping the sword, he doubled over as the pain soared from his cut side and through his whole body. The white haired boy fell to his knees, shivering and whimpering. He felt the dragon's anger.
You promised you wouldn't hurt him! You promised me! Now look what you did! How dare you! The fire inside the boy was turned up to maximum. Emyt cried out, obviously in pain. I swear to God, if you do that again, you'll get worse than just pain. I swear! The dragon hissed. Emyt whimpered.

Shadows wrapped over Kaden's shoulder where they pressed the blood to stop. He stared in awe at it then realized he was in pain as the adrenaline started to run out. He stumbled over to Emyt, concern in his voice. "Stop. Leave Emyt alone!"

Two emerald green eyes flickered from one boy to the next. The whole fight, they'd been here, unnoticed. When the fight was close to becoming deadly, their owner had nearly intervened... that was, untill it appeared as if something else had.
Snakes are much smarter then they appear, especially in this world. After all, the greatest and wisest creatures of all time had also been reptiles. This certain creature was wise enough to know that Emyt had not fallen due to the nasty wound at his side- something greater had caused it. He could smell it in the air. There was more to these two boys than they let on. His tounge sampled the taste of their breath and smell that filled the clearing. What the rest of the forest had not already claimed, anyway.
The royal python, loosely draped from a low branch with his head hanging, swinging side to side curiously, silently slipped underneath the foliage. He made his way towards the two, peeking through the leaves every now and then, tasting the air, making sure he was going in the right direction. He felt the pounding of both hearts through the ground.
His tounge flickered out of his mouth every time, but once he'd taken a whiff three or four yards from the edge of the clearing, he paused, making sure what he'd just smelled was in fact real. He slithered forward, faster this time, untill he'd finally reached the small battleground, nearer to the heat he felt radiating off their bodies.
Sure enough, he smelled dead meat. he wasn't sure where from, but he also smelled the strong smokey smell of the fire to his left, blotting out whatever scents near it, and took great care to avoid the flames. Instead, the impressive snake made a beeline for Kaden. For it was him the smell wafted off from most.
The boy had his back turned towards him, making it all the easier. Once close enough, the 5-foot snake reared up, so his hight matched that of the crouching Kaden. He took a whiff of the boy- smelling the deer meat he so disired- but found, in fact, that the meat had already been eaten. Aggitated, the python made for the boy's neck, not in a effort to kill, but rather teach the boy a lesson for taking a snake's meal.

Kaden again tried to scream as the snake wrapped around his neck. He found himself choking, unable to breath, as his fingers scrambled to try to remove the great creature's coils. Where the heck had it come from? His mind was growing fuzzy from lack of oxygen. Did it plan to kill him? Use the sword Kaden! I will help you! C'zrin demanded. In a last ditch effort he jabbed the sword into the ground. Darkness spread out all around them in a blanket. Within it swirled the form of a black dragon. Her purple eyes narrowed. C'zrin's sword had a unique ability indeed. She let out a roar in hopes to scare the snake. Are you really here? Out of my mind I mean? No. My sword as any other has a special ability. Mine's illusion magic based off my darkness. Let us hope it is enough.

Emyt slowly regained control of his body, only to see a snake wrapping itself around Kaden. His red eyes widened, and he grabbed the ruby hilt, only before he saw the huge shadow morphing into a dragon. He blinked.
"And that's the magic of the shadow Sword." He murmured. He tested the Ruby sword, looking amused. Should that creature get scared, the boy would do nothing. However, if it continued on trying to choke Kaden, Emyt would try to fend off the snake.
Why is it even here?! Emyt asked Deqasef angrily.
Maybe it's hungry, or maybe it has some disease. The dragon suggested.
Wait a second. You said hunger? It probably smelled the meat on me! Emyt said excitedly. Dropping the sword, he nearly tackled the leather bag holding the deer meat. Taking out one of the slabs, he tried to get the snake's attention.
"Hey you! Big, footless lizard thing!" He yelled at the snake. Then he waved the meat around. "You hungry, snake? Come on! Get off the poor boy and get this meat!" If that didn't work, Emyt would cry out,
"Oh come on! You stupid reptilian creature that wants to kill people!" He said, exasperated.

It seems Deqasef recognized the situation. Either that or Emyt. You can thank them later if the stupid beast gets off. C'zrin commented smugly.
Still gasping for air, Kaden fell to his knees then to his side where he laid on the ground. The snake was suffocating him slowly. He screwed his eyes shut and hoped to dear god that it would either be frightened by C'zrin or follow Emyt's prompting.

What's this, then? The snake drew back it's head, hissing angrily at it's adversary, the shadowy image that C'zrin created through the sword. Another snake come to meddle? If so, it was certainly mean-looking, even for a snake. And big.
It watched the creature warily, head swinging from side to side, it's grip on Kaden loosening. It was then a familiar scent hit it's tongue.
His head swiveled around to meet the delicious scent, and yes, meat! Of course, it had been cooked, but that hardly mattered now. He took a moment to hesitate, but very slowly he released the thirteen-year old boy. He slid into the grass and followed every movement that Emyt, (Or rather, the meat in his hand,) made. The creature was hypnotized- he barely registered Emyt at all, nor did he notice his ridiculous exclamations.
The python was not near enough to grab the meat, but yet again hesitated. This time, however, it seemed to have nothing to do with the meat. Instead it seemed to be listening to something, in the forest from which it came. Nonetheless, it was probably nothing. He reached out, opening his wide jaws to strike at the morsel.
This time, he didn't just halt, his entire body swung around to face the line of trees. A few tense seconds passed, before something fell out of the tree he himself had been in before this entire ordeal, landing on the ground below with an audible "whumph."
Immediately the meat was forgotten. Instead, the python seemed to shrink back, as if nervous. His cold, green eyes watched, his whole body still.

The illusion died as the shadows wrapped back into the sword. Kaden simply laid where he was, gasping for air to refill his lungs which had since been strained enough to feel like they were collapsed even though they had not. "Thanks...Emyt..." Hmph. No thanks for me? Thank you too C'zrin. He said with a small smile. I'm sorry... my mind's a little off right now and I feel my heart pounding. I was too distracted to remember to thank you. My apologies. Enjoying an occasional victory, C'zrin settled down again. She was satisfied with him asking for forgiveness for now. Forgiven.
