Children of the Elementals

This RP is based in the modern day but in a parellal universe. Here sometimes children are born with close ties to the 4 main elements. For as long as this strange accurence has been happening-for about the last 30 years (since the last world war) the governmant has been tryng to cover it up. They lock up anyone found with this power to examen them and keep them hidden from the rest of the world. But in resent turns its taken an even more frightening twist. the elemental children- as they are called, are forced to fight with each other. Lots of money is bet on who will win. These fights usually consist of several groups ot teams of two who have to battle it out-sometimes to the death.

Earths Male earth children are often very strong and muscly. They relie on their strengh and perticuly thick skin when fighting. Girls tend to be quite tall and delicate with good healing powers but dont tend to usually be very good fighters.

Airs males and females alike are usually quite tall and strong. They often ahve wings though the type and colour is very varied.

Fires The guys usually can create the larger fire balls- about as large as their heads but girls often have more control over the fires shape.

Waters Can draw water out of water particles in the air and control it. Guys can often hold their breaths underwater for around an hour, girls slightly less but their better at drawing it out of the air

Opposites will never work together in the same team. Will start the RP tomorrow.

Cal sighed and spread his wings wide as he did so. They were very large birds wings, coloured black with flecks of dark and light grey in them. "You ready Blaize?" He asked the girl leaning on a wall next to him. "Nope" she answerd lightly though he had known her long enough to tell when she was lying. Small flames always lept out of her finger tips when she did but she never seemed to notice.
Cal was about 16 and Blaize about 15, both of them were newly cought. they had manged to stay hidden for a lot longer then most did but in they end they had slipt up and the government had got hold of them.
Now they were waiting to enter the arener for the first time and to be put up against other new comers.

Petal shuddered as she saw her new opponents. Being one of the Earth clan she wasn't naturally a good fighter. In fact it sickened her. Her partner Oak loved to fight - he was one of the best and that is why they had to keep coming bakc. They just kept winning.
These opponents looked formidable however. She watched as the taller one, the male, spread his wings and muttered something to his partner.
And then it began.

(How can she have wings when shes of the Waterclan? people cant be both. The scientists have studdied the 'condition' carfully and have found out that chicldren whos perents are of two differnt types are always one or the other. )

The small holding pens they were in started to open up. The whole thing retracted into the wall so you couldent stay in them instead of entering the arena. There was no were to escpae to know. They were in the dredded arena, a huge, circular room with metal walls covered in a special substance that fire couldent melt. The floor was made of rubber chips. They had used sand at one pint but this had given teh Earths an unfair advantage. Near the top of the huge circular, dome like room was a special type of heat proof glass. From here government agents and the rich could watch their fighting without fear of being hurt.

Kayla winced, hugging her knees as she watched the door open. She looked into the bright light as it poured in and the arena stood in its foreboding manner. She picked herself up off the floor from her sitting position and began to walk out. The poor water child... How had this happened? Her air-father had always told her that elements were to be used for good. Was this good? She certainly doubted it and she was assured that her water elemented mother would also agree. This was wrong...yet she was forced to defend herself or die. They all were.

(Since they fight in twos she could really do with a partner. Are you going to create it or can I?)

Blaize and Cal glanced round them, their hearts beating fast and adreneline flowing. What others would they be against? From here they could see two figures, one large and obviously of the earth element. The otehr was slim and it was hard to say from here. They kept turing, looking for any other opponents there might be.

(You can ^^ it's more fun if you don't rp an entire team...gives much more variety to the RP.)

Kayla stepped out into the intimidating arena and glanced around frantically. She was fast but could she really outrun everyone? She doubted it, especially if she ended up fighting with an air elemental. Those were far too fast. What about earth? Too strong. They'd surely kill her. Fire... she shuddered at the thought of the often violent power of fire's raw energy.

Petal watched as the water tried to decide what to do. Petal felt the exact same thing. Should she fight or defend herself until it was over? In the end it was Oak who decided for her. He rushed headlong into the battle with barely a thought for his own safety. Petal was loyal, so she followed.

Kinira shivered as she was shoved into the room, brushing her hair out of her face, fluttering her white batlike wings. "Big sis, what's going on?" she sobbed. Her older sister, K'shira said, "We're in the battlefield. Remember? The two of us have to fight other elementals now." Kinira looked up at her older sister with fearful blue eyes. "But I can't fight! You know I can't fight!" she yelped. K'shira sighed. "Little sister, as long as I have to protect you, we'll keep winning and they'll drag us back in to fight more and more. This time we have to fight more than ever before. I need you to help me out. I'll handle the ones down here, but can you get up in the air and take care of the other air elemental? This time we'll both have to fight if we want to survive. Most of these elementals look too tough for me to handle all by myself." Kinira nodded, knowing what her sister said was true, but still, she was scared. She had never been able to fight. K'shira had always protected her. K'shira had stood up for her. She had never done anything, but today, she would help. "Okay, I'll do it." she said bravely. Then she flapped her wings and shot up into the air. Below her, K'shira prepared to attack, creating a fire ball and aiming it at one of the others, a water elemental.

A red mist fell over Petal's vision. The fight was upon her! Oak was already engaged in fight with someone. She didn't know who and nor did she care. All that mattered was to win. She kept behind Oak, making sure to heal him when it was necessary. She was running, following Oak wherever he went. But suddenly she was falling. She gasped as her feet went from under her and as she landed her breath was torn from her. Petal tried to regain her breath, and when she was finally able to stand she was shocked by what she saw. There was a fireball heading for the water, but it wasn't that which made her sob. It was the fact that Oak, her companion, had been injured and was lying still. She should have been there for him!

Kinira looked around the room from her vantage point at the top. Below her she could see K'shira attacking the water elemental. Nearby, closest to herself were two others. Not realizing that one of them was already down, Kinira aimed a fierce gust of wind at the two. She was too terrified to think of anything but helping her sister.

Below, K'shira watched as her sister attacked. She looked around the room. One other air elemental that was paired up with a fire elemental like her and Kinira, two earths, a water and another. Six in all. She growled. "I can't win, or they'll send us back in. But if I try to lose, we could get killed! There's no choice but to keep fighting, then!"

Suddenly the fire ball that was flying straight tewords Kayla fizzled out with a huge gush of smoke as it was doused by a wave of water. Therem nearby stood a male water. He was about 20 years old and an experianced fighter. It had been him who had taken out Oak with a jet of water shot at his head. despite being male he was an expert at drawing water out of the air, he had done it so mnay times before. He was to be Kaylas partner. His last, a air girl had died in the last battle. It had happened to so many otehrs and this water dident seem up to much...
Blaize and Cal hung back, not wanting to fight. They stayed near the smooth walls, not wanting to get involved. Cal who was flying a few meters off the ground suddenly let out a scream and dropped to the floor. Blaize too screamed in pain and both writhed on the ground in pain. When elemental children first arrived a chip was inbedded in their amrs. If they refused to fight a strong electric current would be sent through the chips and into their bodies.

[Fury]

Kayla quickly glanced at him, looking flustered by the sudden fireball. The twelve year old didn't seem too enthusiastic about fighting, this was true, but she could appreciate a good challenge. "Thanks...?" She trailed off not knowing his name.

[chiaki]

Petal was blown aside by a huge gust of wind. She was trying desperately hard to revive Oak because without him she couldn't win, and that would mean certain death. The other elementals were dropping like flies - one pair by the electric chip embedded in their arms. If she didn't act soon they would be coming for her next! She started to regain her breath and sprinted back towards Oak. He had been taken out with a blow to the head. He was just unconcious, if she could just gain access to the part of the brain that controlled conciousness she could revive him. She placed her hands on his temples and concentrated. But an extraordinary thing happened! Something Petal had never seen before. As he revived his sudden brain activity sent out a huge, pulsing shockwave throughout the whole arena.

[Dragncat]

Kinira screamed as the shockwave knocked her against the wall. Her wing twisted back behind her and she heard a loud crack. Suddenly, her wing hurt so much and she was falling, trying desperately to stop her fall. Kinira blew a fierce gust of air at the ground, cushioning her fall. She gingerly touched her wing. "Ow!" she yelped. She was sure it was dislocated, she hadn't felt a broken bone. Gritting her teeth, she grabbed her wing and forced it back into place. Cautiously, she fluttered it. It still hurt, but she should be able to fly. She flew straight up into the air again. There were two water elementals her sister was having trouble beating. Thinking fast she aimed a fierce blast of swirling wind, almost a tornado, at the two waters. She could fight these two and her sister would take care of the earths.

K'shira stood her ground as the shockwave came, but she heard a yelp from above. She growled. Kinira was in trouble! She tried to run to help, but Kinira landed safely. K'shira returned her attention to the waters. She couldn't fight these two, she would be useless. She turned her attention to the earths. The shockwave had come from them! They had hurt her sister! K'shira growled and prepared a fireball, twice the size of her first and white-hot, then aimed it at the earth elementals.
