Wings tucked, eyelids twitching in his sleep, Aarin took a nap at the bank among the cat-tails.
His midday sleep was heavy with dreams about his unique family. Images of Sina, the gallant Nergur, and motherly Pyavra flashed across his mind, as they frolicked in a peaceful field. In his dreams, Nergur and Sina were always separate, each having their own body as well as mind. however, he couldn't tell whether he liked them separated or not. To the Hikura, they seemed as one as any lone creature could.
The sweet, muddy smell of the lagoon entered his dreams as well, and his nostrils twitched slightly. It was a good place to nap, but he was much more used to the clean, cool smell of his wintery home. Aarin's eyes flickered open and he raised his head lazily. But it wasn't just the smell that had woken him- he'd fallen asleep with it, anyway. What he had sensed, however, was another creature nearby.

A huge dragon suddenly lifted her head out of the lagoon, dirty water puring off her scaled head in a tempory waterfall. She was a terifieing looking beast, dark muddy green with three large, menacing horns curving away from her head. But as all those who lived in Suteki knew, she was harmless unless angered for it was just Ryuu in yet another of her dragon forms.

Aarin jumped. He was right- there was another one here. He turned his head slowly, only to jump again. The poor creature was quite on edge, he'd never been taught how to react to a stranger.
It was a dragon! The hatchling had heard of them before, but never seen one in his short life. He'd heard of a girl, however, with the ability to turn into one of many dragon forms... was this the rumored Ryuu Squall?
Unable to tell all that much about the dragon, (for it's scent was masked by that of the lagoon water,) made him all the more nervous. Who was to tell if this creature was aggressive or not? Hesitantly, he decided he could try talking to it, if anything. Standing up, slowly and carefully he padded down to the muddy bank.
"Ummm, hello there..." He tried, tilting his head and hoping the creature could speak his language...

A giggle could be heard from the other side of the lagoon and a water-demon flew across and landed along the bank. Her black dragon-like wings folded in a flourish behind her and her hair whipped wildly. She mumbled something about needing to tie it back every once in a while then turned her attention to the others.
In her hands was a swirling ball of water which she dropped back in. "Glorious day, eh? I admit I hadn't expected to see so many people here at once!" Kayla admitted. Her tail wrapped around her leg for a moment or two then went back to its relaxed position. The stupid thing always did that if she didn't consciously think of it staying in the right position.

With a flash, the water dragon launched itself into the air, its great surpentine body seeming to go on for ever. Suddenly as the tip of its webbed tail left the water, there was a bright flash of silvery light. Whe it faded it left Ryuu back in her normal from, mostly human but with dragon wings, claws and tail as well as a scattering of silvery scales. She floated down to Aarin and smiled at him. "Hello." She remembered giving his egg away. "How are you these days?" Just then she noticed Kayla. "Oh, hello there." This close to each other it looked like Ryuu and Kayla where like a living ying and yang sign with Kaylas black demon wings and tail and Ryuus light silver dragon ones.

Kayla laughed, voicing the comparison. "You and I look like polar opposites." She took a moment to crack her neck by simply tilting it to the side then took a bow. "Name's Kayla. Pleased to meet you and," she turned and did the same to Aarin and Wings, "pleased to meet you as well."

Aarin glanced from one hybrid to the other, and decided immediately that neither were a threat. There was something about the silver one that seemed familiar as well, but he couldn't quite put his paw on it. But he did know for a fact the dragon had been Ryuu after all. That put a smile to his muzzle.
"Hello, Ryuu. I'm quite fine, my keeper is well and takes good care of me. I couldn't ask for a better home." Replied Aarin, smiling kindly up to the dragon girl. He couldn't remember ever having met her, but she seemed to somehow know him. And she seemed nice enough- he'd been taught to always be polite towards others. It wasn't hard doing so for Ryuu.
It was then he remembered Kayla, having the short attention span of a hatchling. "A nice day for a nap," agreed the Hikura. "A bit warm, though." His tails waved slightly, and his wings fanned his sides. Now that he was awake, he was becoming increasingly aware of the warm and dry summer weather.

Ryuu grinned at Kayla. "You could be my evil twin!" she joked. Then she smiled evily and said in a silly, evil voice, "Or maybe I am yours!" It pleased her to hear Aarin was happy with his owner. She would have hated it if she had missjudged somone and acidently given a Hikura egg away to some one who mistreated it.

Kayla giggled and nodded. "Perhaps or perhaps not. You seem more dragon than I am." She looked at Aerin and again nodded before responding. "It's nice out but yeah a bit hot. I'm a water demon so I'm not much suited to even slightly warm temperatures. I'm truthfully burning up."

"Water, huh? If you ask me, you look more suitable for the darkness element." Commented Aarin thoughtfully. "With the black wings and everything..." Suddenly, his face lit up, and he smiled grandly.
"I'm electric! Check this out-" the hikura exclaimed, and small yellow sparks began to dance off his front paws. He grinned proudly. "Cool, right? That's all I can do right now, but some day I'll be able to make really big thunderstorms! Well, if a concentrate, practice, and stick to it. That's what my keeper says, anyway."

Kayla jumped back from the electricity, her wings folding around herself like a shield until she could only just peer out the sparks. When Aarin stopped she uncurled with a quick apology and an explanation that she didn't want to be zapped. "Cool indeed but please do keep the electric energy to a minimum. I promise I am indeed a water demon and not darkenss so that would be considerably bad for the both of us."

(Ive been meaning to ask you Winter how a magic-air-light elemental creature mangeed to become electric. I will by pass the fact its competly impossible this time. But you need to kill one of its other elelments as a creature cant be more then 3.)
"Thats cos I am a dragon" She told Kayla proudly. She had though hshe looked like a demon. Dragond and demons often looked simular in the combined form they where both in at the moment. She found the Hikuras power very surprising. She had never some across one who had the electrical element. Had he been hit by lightening while still in his egg? Or didi he have some sort of lightning creature far back in his ancestry? Throw backs where commen amoung Hikura but she had never heard of it effecting their elements before.

(Oops, sorry, Ryuu. I suppose I never paid attention to that part... do you want me to change it?)

(Na, its OK ^^ I like the whole being hit by lightening while still in his egg. I think it would have probably nocked off the magicle elelment. This mean he cannot convay messeges/feelings/visions via his two lesser tails. It also means he wont be a very good flyer compared to a normal Hikura...

(Okis, it's fine. He'll be special, I suppose. ) "Oops, sorry! I didn't realize..." Aarin exclaimed, as Kayla sheilded herself from his sparks. He'd never met a water elemental before... he'd never met a lot of things before. To him, meeting a dragon and water demon all in the same day was fasinating. Now he tilted his head at Ryuu, who hadn't yet commented on his power. In fact, she looked confused. Curious, yet shy, he asked tentitavely, "Um... is there something wrong?"
